I began using it a couple of years ago. Sometimes I stop tracking time, but when I need to focus more, Toggl is my go-to tool. I like the fact that it works across different platforms – whether it's on the browser, desktop, or mobile app, everything stays in sync. The weekly reports with charts, graphs, or just simple tables are pretty helpful. I work alone, but my teammates find it great for managing their agency hours, and Toggl is perfect for their needs. I've been usiŋ this tracker for a few months now. I've tried the chrome extenshion, the web version as well as Windows desktop version and they all work great. Zero complaints so far. Very intuitive and easy to use.

Doesn't have the basic features I need as a freelancer.

Doesn't have the basic features I need as a freelancer. Honestly, I could just use Google Calendar and it would work just as well for me. It has some decent things, but the fundamentals are missing. For example: There's no way to mark time entries as billed. Right now, I can't tell what I've billed or not. There's no "magnet" to lock time entries to 15 minutes. I have to be on the right zoom level for it to lock at 15 minutes, otherwise, it'll only lock to 10 minutes. Can't see time entry names for 15 minute slots when you're zoomed out in the week view. I can't simply assign a time entry to a client – it needs to have a project attached. I worked around this by making a project called "Hourly billing" for each client, but it’s still hard to track what's been billed and what hasn't. Can't add any notes (like text) to clients or projects. It seems like there are a lot of talented programmers, designers, marketers, and support staff, but there’s no realistic person testing the features. I really thought this would be my go-to time management tool.

They're lacking some basic

They're lacking some basic stuff for freelancers like me. For what I need, Google Calendar could do just as well. There's some good stuff, but they're missing the basics. Seems like they have good team members, but they need someone to test out the functionality better. I was really hoping this would be my time management tool.

The product has gotten worse as time passed.

The product has gotten worse as time passed. The interface is slow, autocomplete usually fails, and there are many race conditions that ruin your inputs. It was good before, but now it isn’t. Stay away from this.

You can't trust that tool.

You can't trust that tool. Entries get lost often. Sometimes, only the body vanishes. Sometimes, the whole entry disappears when you stop and start a new one.

it’s quite overrated... no link with Xero...

it’s quite overrated... no link with Xero... There are sooo many hold ups when uploading info or trying to get started, I’m on the free premium trial and honestly... it’s buggy too, I try to adjust a setting, there’s no save buton sometimes and it doesn’t save. To make matters worse, when you enter break mode, there’s this really loud ticking sound? No way I’m letting my staff listen to a ticking sound when they are on break, it gives the wrong vibe about work culture and I honestly couldn’t find anywhere to turn it off. Trial over.

The support team doesn't reply to emails.

The support team doesn't reply to emails. I stopped the subscription right after they took the yearly fee. I emailed customer service to ask for a partial refund, but no one has answered. I sent 4 more emails, but still no reply. I will never do business with this compnay.

Zero stars for this company!!

Never received the authentication email. Called them, their support email failed, no reply on Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn... STAY AWAY
